What we do
Acoustic South East offers an entirely impartial independent consultancy service for the solution of noise and vibration problems.
This year we took the decision to change our trading name from Acoustic Associates Sussex to Acoustic South East to better reflect the geographical area that we typically work in.
The consultancy was founded by Peter Attwood back in 1990 and is registered with the Association of Noise Consultants. We are also very proud to be recognised as a Chartered Building Consultancy with The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Our experienced team of Acoustic Consultants are all Degree and Post-Graduate qualified and individual members of the Association of Noise Consultants and the Institute of Acoustics. Our Technicians likewise are all individually accredited to carry out Sound Insulation Testing by the Association of Noise Consultants and accredited by The Air Tightness Testing & Measurement Association (ATTMA).
Our Health & Safety accreditations include Constructionline and the CQMS Safety Scheme.
Our History
As Acoustic Associates Sussex, we have been around for a long time – over 25 years. However, as our consultancy and our work has grown, we have expanded our operations over a much larger region. For this reason, we decided to change our name to ‘Acoustic South East’. The name has changed but our consultancy services have not. We are still the same consultancy which has achieved such a strong reputation, with over 100 years’ experience in the team.
Our Client Base For Acoustic Consultancy Services
We have a varied client base including developers, architects, local authorities, contractors and planning consultancies. Specialisms have been developed in building and architectural, education and environmental acoustics.
Sussex Office Location
Our office is based at Shoreham (Brighton City) Airport on the South Coast, close to the beautiful South Downs and yet only 11 miles from Brighton
